About this course:
The biggest challenge for any contractor or building/remodeling business owner is how to groom a lead carpenter so the owner can get out of the field! It's tough to "let go," but you need to for the company to successfully grow. By implementing a few key systems in your business, you can allow the torch to be passed on to responsible employees. In this session, you will learn those key systems and strategies, and how to implement them in your business. Your instructor, Brian Altmann, has almost 30 years experience and owns his own remodeling and building company. Throughout the course, Brian will define specific steps that you can take to promote and foster independence in the field, allowing you to run multiple projects and free yourself up to concentrate on other facets of the business that desperately require your management skills and might be unattended.

Your Instructor
Brian founded DBS Remodel in 1986. He recognized a demand in the community for a professional and reliable remodeling company. Brian has been sharing his knowledge as a remodeling consultant in the Hudson Valley for close to 30 years! He studied Architecture at Dutchess Community College for 2 years before transferring to Cortland State, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minor in management. Brian is a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) in our industry, and an EPA Certified Renovator. He is also co-writer and presenter of DBS’ public, educational seminars for homeowners seeking knowledge of the remodeling process.
